Petfactor is a friendly and professional dog walking and petsitting service based in Newmarket, Suffolk, set up to care for animals ranging from dogs and cats to chickens and horses. Petfactor offers pet care to areas surrounding Newmarket in both Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
Modern day lifestyles and work commitments make it harder and harder to spend the time with our pets that they deserve. Petfactor is able to offer the great value care that your animals need when you can’t be there, allowing you to relax in the knowledge that your pets are happy and content whilst you’re at work or on holiday.
Who is Petfactor?
My name is Isabel Monk and I am an experienced dog walker and petsitter. I’ve had pets all my life, ranging from hamsters to horses and pigs. I have a passion for animals and their welfare and I have a keen interest in canine training and behaviour. That’s why I decided set up Petfactor.
I live with my fiancé Nigel and we currently share our lives with our two Border Collies, 4year old Dipper and my latest edition Dazzle. Dipper and I compete regularly in dog agility. 2010 was Dippers first year competing at kennel Club level. We achieved numerous wins, including qualifying for the semi-final of the Starters Cup at the Kennel Club International Agility Festival! I hope to start training Dazzle in agility in July 2011 when she is 1 year old.
In 2005 I graduated from Writtle College with an Honours degree in Equine Science. I have owned and competed my own horses, as well as competing horses in dressage and eventing for private owners. I have extensive knowledge in horses and ponies, gained from working professionally with equines in a range of disciplines from racehorses to show ponies.
I am a qualified obedience instructor gaining my First Grade certificate in 2008 from ‘The British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers’. I teach at my local dog training centre and have trained my own dogs to very high standards. I am constantly furthering my knowledge in animal care and canine behaviour and I am currently studying for two modules with the ‘Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training’, specialising in ‘Essential Skills and Training Techniques’ and a ‘Puppy Instructors’ module. I regularly attend agility training workshops to keep up to date with the latest training and handling techniques.
Petfactor is fully insured and I am also security checked through the Criminal Rights Bureau.
